The
sailing on this entire trip has alternated between really shitty and piss
poor...We got underway from BSM this morning at 0300 and motorsailed out to a
windline and tried to sail for about an hour...motorsailed for an hour, tried
to sail, repeat, repeat, repeat...It's now about 1300 SD time and I've finally
given up...we're motorsailing mostly toward Cabo...the wind is 6 knots directly
downwind so we can't even motorsail the rhumbline to Cabo, we have to jibe off
20-30 degrees just to keep the main from flapping around!
We're
really in the tropics now...it's about 85 degrees with a water temp of about
80...we should be in Cabo about 1200 tomorrow...
Things will get better and the winds will start to sail you on your way.Love hearing about your adventures... You all are more adventuresome than I.
